Mini Bio of David Litt David Litt is an American speechwriter, who at the age of 24, served as a senior presidential speechwriter to former President Obama. He graduated from Yale University and wrote many of Obama's speeches from 2011-2016. "Thanks Obama: My Hopey Changey White House Years"  David Litt's latest comedic memoir details his time writing many of Obama's speeches, jokes, video's and more. He gives insight into his job as the senior presidential writer as well as how the former president added or tweaked the speeches himself. On September 16th, 2017,  a Georgia Tech student, Scout Schultz, was gunned down by Georgia Tech Police for advancing towards cops with a multipurpose pocketknife. However, a video released shows Schultz was in no way a threat to anyone but himself by yelling "shoot me" to the cops involved. Schultz did not charge at police, he did not open his pocket knife. He was just a student with mental issues, he was not in the right frame of mind but he was also not a danger to anyone, including the cops. What is DACA and What is its Purpose? The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), is an immigration program created during the Obama administration in 2012. The purpose of DACA is to allow certain illegal immigrants who entered the United States as minors, a deferred action from deportation renewable every two years and eligibility for a work permit. The posts will include news stories, the relationship between media and politics, and the impact of media on society and political movements.
