The Political and Media Smackdown

Just when you think Trump couldn't get any lower and unprofessional, he outdoes himself and finds a new way to make us all grunt at yet another disappointment. Donald Trump is under huge (pronounced Yuge) criticism for retweeting anti-muslim video originally posted by Britians First deputy leader Jayda Fransen. There are three majorly wrong things with Trump's actions here. One, as the president of the united states, under no circumstance should a president clearly show and share such rhetoric. However, this is not a surprise as Trump has never been shy in expressing his opinion on Islam, Mexicans, and minorities in the US. It's the unprofessionalism of retweeting something from a Britain First (equivalent to the Alt-Right in the US). It would be easy to blame Trumps clever and subtle campaign to delegitimize all media outlets that criticize him and his administration. But we are in an era where over two dozen women can report sexual misconduct of a politician to a major news outlet, and the candidate still has a chance of winning a senate seat. Danica Roem has been thrown into the spotlight after winning the November 2017 Virginia House of Delegates elections. The Facts The Department Health and Human Services issued new rules allowing businesses and non-profit organizations the ability to deny employees contraceptive coverage in their health insurances based on religious or moral objections. The American Civil Liberties Union sued the administration in San Francisco federal court to stop the ruling declaring it was a constitutional violation to keep state and church separate.
